Dear All,
We have two WebFocus environments: one for PRODUCTION, and one for TEST. Production is on 8.105m client and server, and we have just upgraded Test into 8.2 version. Question, since temporarily I need to have App Studio 8.1 which connects to Production, and there is need to have 8.2 version to connect to Test version, are there any issues of having TWO App Studios on the same machine? Do I have to change installation steps or be aware of some settings to make sure two of App Studio versions working properly?

Based on documentation, it is double but it does not mention any details.

Hi Thomas

You can have both installed on the same machine. When you want to switch between the two there is a file thisfoci.bat located in the \ibi\AppStudio8x\bin directory that needs to be run as administrator that will set the proper Windows registry entries to use that version.

I would like to know if this does work.

We have seen issues with 8.1 and 7.6 AS on the same machine, in particular, HTML composer causing problems.

From what I have seen with 7.6 Dev Studio and 8.1.04 App Studio is a clash between ibi_html files (I think), like ib_composer.js, which is different between releases. I think the last to install is the one that both reference, and therefore the first to be installed has issues with HTML composer.

May be your issue two.
