Anybody been able to use Parameter pages in Reporting Objects.
In other words, to prompt the users for a parameter (what brand do you want), go off run a fex which creates a hold file just for that brand and then drop into Report Assistant to read that hold file.
Sounds easy, but even when i put a -prompt in the 'other' section of the reporting object i cant get RA to load.

A few ideas....


(1)
Try using the prompt in the WHERE of the report component of the Reporting Object, with an amper var. Not the WHERE the end user can't see/change.
When the user runs the report, then they select
the brand and the report is produced for only that subset.


(2)
Create filters for the different brands and have the user select a filter for the brand they want.


(3)
If you don't have many different brands create separate reporting objects with different WHEREs in them (the kind of WHERE they can't see/change). Make the name of the Reporting Object reflect the subset of the data they will get.
