[CLOSED] using space below the BY field
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
CAR OVER
SALES OVER
BY COUNTRY NOPRINT
ACROSS MODEL
BY COUNTRY
END
There is space below the COUNTRY field. I would like to replace the blank space below England, France
etc to display fields from the table like
'Name Adithya'
'company Visteon' etc
,without any computation.
Thanks,
Adithya

WebFOCUS 101 training course - using subhead.

Do yourself a favour and press for some training rather than your bosses asking you to use a language you do not appear to know.

I donot want to use a subhead/subfoot,i have tried using that.
Using subhead the data appears below the complete BY statement data
i.e after ENGLAND data
and after FRANCE data.
My actual query has more OVER statements,so more space beLow the BY field.
I would rater want the data to appear in small space that appears below 'ENGLAND' and other countries as well

First of all, the code you posted doesn't run as there is a syntax error. Taking out the 2nd OVER shows what you want to do.

Seeing what you want to do, I'd recommend either the MacGuyver Technique or a technique using an alternate master with OCCURS to generate two lines with extra sort fields and a bunch of defines. This is very doable but requires a bit of creativity. You can find documentation on MacGuyver and alternate master by searching both the Forum and the IBI web site.
