Compound Excel Drill Down
I have the following compound Excel spreadsheet.
Also below is a drilldown Fex. If you run the first part alone....the drill down works fine...combine them..the drill down does not work. Make it into compound HTML works fine. Is there some reason this would not work as a compound Excel...that anyone can think of? You should be able to cut and paste and run this. Thanks...

ON TABLE SET STYLE *

TYPE=REPORT,
GRID=ON,

COLOR='RED',

TYPE=DATA,

FOCEXEC=WHY,$
ENDSTYLE
END

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM RC

ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K NOBREAK
ON TABLE SET STYLE *

END

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT CAR
BY COUNTRY

ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K CLOSE
ON TABLE SET STYLE *

TYPE=REPORT,
GRID=ON,
SIZE=10,

END

Drill Down called why.fex

TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT SALES

ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
END

No consolation I suppose as you're 534 but it works perfectly in the latest 71 beta version.

I would check the hyperlink for the drilldown to make sure that it is being generated correctly.

We are working on installing 7.
The thing I don't understand...if I run the first part of the fex, by itself...it works, just not combined.

I am currently having the same problem on 7.6.4. Does anyone have an answer?

Maybe you should post your code. The code above didn't work because the poster had neglected to put the drill stylesheet syntax in programs 2 and 3, i.e.

TYPE=DATA,
COLUMN=N1,
FOCEXEC=WHY,$

GinnyJakes,
Here is the report step code from the .fex
This code works when this is the only report. However once I put it the 'OPEN' and 'CLOSE' for the EXL2K, I cannot drill down.

As JG suggested, did you take a look at the drilldown hyperlink - is it generated correctly?

You need to set FOCEXURL when the drilldown is in an Excel or PDF document.

Adding the following made the program work in v5.3.4 and v7.6.5:

SET FOCEXURL='http://bic-qa-wfweb-6.bmogc.net/ibi_apps/WFServlet?'

Running without the FOCEXURL setting may generate an invalid drilldown hyperlink, in v5.3.4 the invalid URL looks like this:

C:\cgi-bin\ibi_cgi\ibiweb.exe?IBIF_webapp=\ibi_apps&IBIC_server=EDASERVE&IBIAPP_app=fmarian&IBIF_ex=fmfptest1dd&CLICKED_ON=&

RSquared,

I'm glad it worked.

The Leafs are 5th last in the league standings and the only place they're go-ing is down.

Cheers.
