Please, is it possible for deferred report to be emailed to the user when it finishes running. My users don't like the idea of having to go back and be checking if a report has run or not. They just want email notification when the report is done.
Any idea if its possible?

Never seen that happening myself with Deferred Reports. If you want a report to be emailed upon completion, you'd need to schedule it via ReportCaster and distributed to the intended email address.
If the launch page is build with HTML Composer, there is usually a button that allows users to schedule the report directly from there (like a mini-ReportCaster interface). Not sure if you'd like to dive into that option.
Take a look at the EDAMAIL command. Keep in mind that the maximum size of the report output file that can be sent with EDAMAIL is limited by the message size restrictions of your e-mail system (MS Outlook, etc.)
