I am using the COMT format for the report output and are wondering if it is possible to run and export 2 separate fex's (both COMT output) via pdf layout tool, and when you open it, it will be separate worksheet pages in Excel rather than in one worksheet page.

Laurie

I'm a bit confused.
1) You want COMT (that is a comma delimited flat file)
2) You want it in PDF?????
3) And then when you open the pdf it shout be excel????

Some people in my company think that IBI is magic....I'm afraid you also think it is...

I would suggest to just put the output direct into format excel.
If you say OPEN NOBREAK in the first FEX the next FEX will put the output in a second worksheet.

Laurie, I agree with Frank, it seems to me that you need a COMPOUND EXL2K report.

Simply

SET COMPOUND OPEN

REPORT1

SET COMPOUND CLOSE

REPORT2

In the stylesheet you can set the Sheet name with

TYPE=REPORT, TITLETEXT={Sheetname}, $

Waz...

If you use the PDF Layout Painter and specify EXL2K as your output format, you will get a workbook with a worksheet for each report.
