Hi, I'd like to Know how to use a page break every x lines. I've tried with several option I've got in the forum but none works (almost I can`t do it work).
I`ve this code:
TABLE FILE FICHERO PRINT COD_PERSONA NOM_DENOM_SOCIAL/A20 RECUR INCREREC IMP_ACT_MED_MES_AC/D12 INCREACT OMACU MAR_OPE_AJ_ACU_AC/D12.2 COMPUTE MARACU/D9 = MAR_OPE_AJ_ACU_AC; MAR_OPE_AJ_ACU_AA/D9 COMPUTE MAROPEACUAA/D9.2= MAR_OPE_AJ_ACU_AA; WHERE MES EQ '&MES.EVAL' WHERE ANNO EQ '&ANNO.EVAL' BY DESC_SEGMENTO AS 'SEGMENTO' SUMMARIZE RECUR INCREREC IMP_ACT_MED_MES_AC INCREACT COMACU MARACU MAROPEACUAA AS 'TOT.' ON TABLE HOLD FORMAT HTMTABLE AS INF86 END -RUN
If someone could help me, I'll thank him/her a lot.

You can only control Page-Breaks with a sort value. So to get what you need, you'll have to either define a field which increments a page counter every 20 records, or do the same in a compute field in which case you would have to to BY TOTAL computedfield PAGE-BREAK. There are many working examples of this on the forum. There does not seem to be anything in your code out of the ordinary that would keep these examples from being used in your code.
The one thing I DID notice is the HOLD FORMAT HTMTABLE. How is this subsequently being used? There really isn't a concept of page-breaks in HTML other than adding new headings, page-number, etc for each page-break.

Darin

Thank you for your answer. The file INF86 (hold format htmltable) is used later into a html page with several parts. I've tried with the BY TOTAL computedfield PAGE-BREAK but, even using NOPRINT, this line is printed and I don´t want it.
if you're willing to create separate output files, each 20 lines (or whatever) long, and then do your display in -HTMLFORM then yes you can page-break in html. Lots of looping involved. You up for that? if so, take a deep breath...and here we go...
You wont see anything different on your screen, but if your users send from the screen directly to the printer, you'll see the page break. Is that what you wanted?
If all you wanted is to repeat column titles and/or headings after 20 or so lines, then the SET LINES thing is all you need, as JG says.
Are you in Italy? Where are you? your code is fun to read. I'ld love to see some error messages in italian. cool. This message has been edited. Last edited by: susannah,
