i have 2 drop downs on my HTML page. I am getting values for the 1st drop down using a FEX. I have to get the value for the 2nd drop down based on the selected value from the 1st drop down.
Towards the top of this page you will see a row of icons, the third of which is "Find". Click on it and enter "multi selects" in the text box then click on the Go button.
This will list many previous posts where this subject has been discussed. You should be able to find something in there.
Alternatively, click on the "Technical Document Library" button at the top right and enter "chain" in the left hand text box, after selecting WebFOCUS Reporting in the top select.
The first document returned in the select has the first line "Laying Out Objects With the HTML Layout Painter Developing Reporting Applications with Graphical Tools". Go to the bottom of the presented HTML page and you will see three icons telling you about chaining, each one has a link to a document on "Filtering Dynamic Parameter Values".
Yes, I know I could tell you how, but by showing you how to get additional help you are far better prepared for future questions. Remember, "give a man a fish and he'll eat well for a day, give him a boat and fishing rod and he'll sit in the boat all day drinking beer".

I have to commend Tony on his answer to your question. I use that same technique where I work. At first they were angry with me because I wouldn't just give them the answer. Now, they thank me and don't ask unless they've already done the research and still can't come up with the answer themselves.
