I am really having a weird problem generating an excel pivot table. If the column has more that 297 characters, it causes the server to crash.
Anything less than 297 characters and the pivot table generates just fine. Anyone experience this before or have solution to this problem?
Here is the sample code that might crash your server:
TABLE FILE CAR PRINT CAR COMPUTE REMARK/A400 = 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxyy'; BY COUNTRY ON TABLE HOLD AS TEMP2 END
TABLE FILE TEMP2 PRINT CAR REMARK ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K PIVOT PAGEFIELDS COUNTRY END
I am currently using WebFOCUS 767 Server64bit on a Windows 2003 Server (64 bit). Could this be a bug?
Thanks in advance. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Do you have a case opened for this one? If not, it is recommended that you do so. A job should not crash just because a limit may have been reached, and a case can better help with investigating possible issues.
To open a case, please either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access online at InfoResponse.
Cheers,
Kerry
