Is there a way to send a report as an inline message within an E-mail and still have another report in a PDF format attached? When using ReportCaster it only allows your message within to be limited by so many characters. Is there a way I can get the report to appear within the email so that our logo along with a summary report appears in the email? If you send me your email I can give you example of what I am trying do.This message has been edited. Last edited by: Nailzz,

The way I've gotten around this...is you create a dummy report...with the heading being your Message...attaching what ever logo you want in the style sheet...put it in Report caster as an inline report. Then you can attach your other report as the attachement to the e-mail.

Create your "dummy" report, by putting your message you want to appear in the email (this will be the inline report).
Setup in ReportCaster and at the point when you select it as a inline message and pick that report. Then on the Task Tab you pick "New Task" found at the bottom and then add the report you want to attached.
Worked like a charm for us.
Example of dummy report TABLE FILE CAR SUM MAX.ONANYFIELD NOPRINT AS 'MAX,ONANYFIELD' HEADING "Whatever you message is going to be" " " " " "Attached is your report ."
"Our, Vice President" "Office of Yours" " "
WHERE (Statement to limit criteria); ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM OFF ON TABLE NOTOTAL ON TABLE SET STYLE * UNITS=IN, PAGESIZE='Letter', LEFTMARGIN=0.250000, RIGHTMARGIN=0.250000, TOPMARGIN=0.250000, BOTTOMMARGIN=0.250000, SQUEEZE=ON, ORIENTATION=PORTRAIT, $ TYPE=REPORT, GRID=OFF, FONT='TIMES NEW ROMAN', SIZE=10, COLOR='BLACK', BACKCOLOR='NONE', STYLE=NORMAL, RIGHTGAP=0.125000, $ TYPE=HEADING, LINE=8, OBJECT=TEXT, ITEM=2, FONT='TAHOMA', SIZE=9, $ ENDSTYLE END
