We've recently converted from WF 5.3.6 to 7.6.8 and as a result made changes to IIS, installed Tomcat as a plug-in, etc. Now, when a report is run through the self-service and tried to be saved, a strange folder is created called "filename"_files and has several strange files in it none of which is the report. I believe the issue resides with the setup of the webserver but I'm not sure how to fix it. any ideas? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,

Not quite sure about your environment. Tomcat isn't a plug-in, it's Apache's app server and it isn't really intended to be used with IIS. What changes were made to IIS?
What is the output of your report (PDF/HTML, etc.)? If you are just trying to save an HTML file, what format are you using to save it? What are the names of the files that get created? If it's PDF/Excel, do you get a pop-up box asking you to save or open?
This problem doesn't sound like it has anything to do with WebFOCUS, self-service, or your web / app servers. Just sounds like a browser issue. Would have to know more about your process for saving.
Please update your profile with platform, product and version information.

Darin

Indeed, Darin is right. This 'strange' folder (xxxx_files) may get created when you do a 'Save As' and then select the option 'Webpage, complete'. Only the easiest of pages will not result in a _files folder to be created. What exactly would you want to see happening when you're saving?

Thanks for the info. I was not aware that this is how it's set up now. We quit using IIS long ago--
