I am currently looking for advice/tips/tricks on a special part of the WF infrastructure I am setting up to integrated with our custom, multi-tenant, SaaS ERP system POL.
I am looking at this scenario:
POL -> IA -> SQW,
where a hyperlink in our POL ERP system launches InfoAssist (IA) which configures from POL session data the credentials (user name and password) to access our SQL Query Writer (SQW) views.
The POL session, an HTTP session with an ecrypted FBA ticket that points to a secured data repository of state mangement includes the credentials I need. I have to hand off these credentials and because of the multitentant nature of our ERP I have to automate that part of the conection string configuring and cannot tust the user to enter any credentials.
I am looking for just high-level guidance of what I have to accomplish. I am thinking something like this:
1] A Java Servlet takes POL HTTP elements and communicates to our backend DB servers to set up WF global && variables
2] WF uses the global && variables in the connection string
3] That parameterized connection string is secure and unalterable by the IA user.
How does this sound? Am I missing anything? Any advice or resources you can point me to?
