My portal has a top banner with 2 columns, works great.
I just added a bottom banner, where it contains a 1-line text disclaimer. I just found out that the user can write over that line of text, or backspace over it, etc. I can't seem to make that line read-only. What gives? This message has been edited. Last edited by: Mike in DeLand,
Hi Francis, Thanks for you response. I was just about to open a case for this.
I did the embedded HTML on my top banner, so I never had occasion to see what just a line of text would do. Looks like I'll have to do the same for the bottom banner.
It's ludicrous. The text is an HTML textarea object, almost always used for text entry, meaning "editable". Perhaps the people who built the Portal Designer weren't developers and used a GUI tool instead of writing code.
