I get the below error on mainframe (FOC198) FATAL ERROR IN DATABASE I/O. FOCUS TERMINATING ERROR WRITING FMDOSSTP, PAGE 262144, CODE 0x0000cccc So I need to create an xfocus database In FMDOSST1 master i have given suffix=XFOCUS
I gave the below commands -SET &ECHO=ALL ; -TYPE IN REBUILD1 REBUILD REORG DUMP FMDOSSTP NO -RUN -SET XFOCUS = ON; REBUILD REORG LOAD FMDOSST1 -RUN TABLE FILE FMDOSST1 COUNT SUB_GROUP I it faling with an error REFERENCE..AT SEGMENT 346000 (FOC389) FOCUS DATABASE PAGE INTEGRITY VIOLATION DETECTED IN: FMDOSST1 RECORDED PAGE 3350, REQUESTED 3328 Pls let me know how to progress
I also directly tried MODIFY FILE FMDOSST1 For which it gave the below
(FOC1001) ACCESS NOT SUPPORTED. CHECK SUFFIX IN THE MASTER /XFOCUS (FOC1001) ACCESS NOT SUPPORTED. CHECK SUFFIX IN THE MASTER /FOC
Pls provide a way forward In both the cases focus database itself is created by IDCAMS LRECL=4096,RECFM=F,BLKSIZE=4096
I also directly tried MODIFY FILE FMDOSST1 For which it gave the below
(FOC1001) ACCESS NOT SUPPORTED. CHECK SUFFIX IN THE MASTER /XFOCUS <== [c) (FOC1001) ACCESS NOT SUPPORTED. CHECK SUFFIX IN THE MASTER /FOC
What release are you on, that XFOCUS is supported but XFC is off by default?
Anyway, (a) is a Dialogue Manager statement, equivalent to -SET &XFOCUS = ON; which just creates a DM variable names &XFOCUS; it has no effect on the FOCUS session settings.
Change it to SET XFOCUS=ON and (b) and (c) will probably be solved.
