[SHARING] Google Maps - how to use free license on private dashboards?
We're just now getting in to using google maps to map some of our customer addresses, and would like to know how it's possible to use the free API key that Google provides in the managed reporting environment. I can't imagine that we're the only folks running webfocus on company network only and not accessible to the whole internet.

Is everyone just paying the $10,000 for the business API key that allows private network usage?

I read the agreement a while back according to which you need to pay for Intranet use. Have your company's legal look into the Google's agreement for you.

Thanks for the response raj_t.
My question isn't really a matter of the legality of the API. I'm really more curious as to how do other folks use this?

Are you all paying for the Google API and keeping your dashboards internal? Or, are folks finding ways to make their dashboards public then using the freebie API?

If you have data that is in any way "sensitive" (as in my case) you need to go intranet and you may have trouble getting your legal department to sign on to that. If your data is material that would be otherwise freely available there's no sense spending the money.
