[CLOSED] Connecting to Excel/Access files using ODBC-JDBC in Unix
Hi,

We are planning to move our WebFOCUS software from W2K to Linux OS. Currently we have some excel/access datasources which we are accessing by ODBC. Since there is no MicroSoft ODBC driver to connect to Excel/Access from Linux, what are our options.

Do we have to buy a third party (ODBC-JDBC) bridge software? if yes, any vendor you can suggest. Are there any freewares? or any other solution would be appreciated.

Thank you,
MYK

Hi MYK,

I checked with our technicals and the suggestion is that, this "may" be possible, as Google search came up with http://ngommans.ca/howto/jdbc-odbc/
Using the JDBC-ODBC Bridge driver with Linux

If you need help on a specific environment, you may want to open a case with Customer Support Services for further research. The phone number is 1-800-736-6130, or access online at InfoResponse.

Cheers,
