Is it possible to change the FAVICON (which replaces the browser icon on the upper left and on the browser tab). Normally, you drop the favicon.ico into wherever the root of your web site. But I am not sure what the "root" would be (I have dropped the icon in various places with no results).

Running WebFOCUS 7.702
On a Linux platform

Thank you in advance.

I imagine it would depend on which component you want this to affect, MRE, self-service, Dashboard, etc.

There seem to be several WF favicons in various locations:

C\ibi\WebFOCUS77\ibi_html\webconsole
C\ibi\WebFOCUS77\ibi_html
C:\ibi\tomcat\webapps\ROOT

and a couple of DevStudio folders.

All my HTML files in the apps folders display the WF favicon.

If you wish to use the favicon.ico file, be sure to add the following to the web.xml file in the conf directory:

     <mime-mapping>
               <extension>ico</extension>
               <mime-type>image/x-icon</mime-type>
           </mime-mapping>

Then just put your favicon.ico file in the root directory of your web application.

Thanks,
Sayed
