Expert Session Q&A: How to Win at BI
Dear Focal Pointers,

Information Builders will be running a series of Webinars in January. Registration is free and easy!

Top BI Practitioners Offer a Winning Game Plan for 2010
This winter Information Builders wants you to learn directly from the experts – our customers whose large-scale BI deployments have closed the gap between having data in their systems and giving everyone easy access to reliable information.

In this series of complimentary Webcasts we'll question these experts in a talk radio format where they will uncover how they achieved company-wide adoption of the new tools, made everyone an informed decision-maker, and realized overall performance improvements and better services in their respective industries. Each Q&A will also offer interactive audience polling that will allow you to compare your experiences with those of our experts.

Listeners can also see if they qualify for our "free portable dashboard" offer - Information Builders will take your data and create a complimentary portable, e-mailable, interactive dashboard. Sessions include:

Steve Castor, PSCC manager, Erlanger, Kentucky Police Department
January 12, 2:00 PM
*** Recording now available for download

The Erlanger PD created an intelligence-led system that shares information across city and agency boundaries via a dashboard that displays key performance indicators (KPIs) of current crime activity for supervisors at headquarters and officers in the field. Now empowered with predictive policing, everyone can help prevent and predict crime by making informed decisions about how and where to deploy the force.

Chris Brady, CIO, Dealer Services
January 19, 2:00 PM

Dealer Services, a national inventory financing company for used car and power sports dealers, uses WebFOCUS as its enterprise-reporting standard. It allows non-technical business users across the U.S. to easily access risk management information. The system accurately tracks and monitors the things that lead to dealer defaults, minimizes consequences when that happens, and allows for better all around decision-making.

John Helms, VP Global Sourcing, Al Kolb, Senior Software Engineer, and Kirk Townsley, Application Services Manager, The Hillman Group
January 27, 2:00 PM

Hillman, a manufacturer and supplier of hardware and key engraving systems, used WebFOCUS to launch a lean manufacturing initiative designed to eliminate waste and unnecessary effort company-wide. The reporting system has helped Hillman realize quicker inventory turns, better warehouse management, and proactive budgeting and financial planning.
