I have a report that flatly refuses to run deferred - if I right click on it, then click "run deferred", it runs online. If I highlight it and click on the "run deferred" button, it runs online. When I change the properties to "Only run as deferred report", and then go to run it, it runs online.

I made a clone of the report, made a couple cosmetic changes to it and then ran it deferred, and the clone now works, but I have no idea what I did to fix it.

Has anyone ever seen this before?

I have seen this issue before. There were a few issues with deferred reporting in earlier releases of WebFOCUS 71x.

I suggest opening a case with Customer Support to see if your exact issue has already been reported and if a hotfix might be available for WebFOCUS 716.

I hate to point out the obvious, but check to make sure you Reporting Server allows Deferred Agents. In your edaserve.cfg file you should see something like the following:
SERVICE = DFM_DEFAULT
BEGIN
  maximum = 128
  number_ready = 3
END


In FOCUS since 1985. Prod WF 8.0.08 (z90/Suse Linux) DB (Oracle 11g), Self Serv, Report Caster, WebServer Intel/Linux.
