I have a report that drills into an HTML frame that has two reports inside of it.

The report passes the values, and they show up in the URL like they are supposed to, but the reports within the HTML frame don't "pick them up" for some reason. The reports load blank.

If this isn't an obvious problem, does anyone know of what I should search for to figure this out?

Jason, please post a little more detail about the problem. The title of your post states "Drilldown to HTML Frame doesn't pass values", but the posting states "The report passes the values, and they show up in the URL".

Perhaps the problem is with how you're using frames. Are these frames or iframes? Usually, when you define a frame in an html page, it's within a frameset tag with the individual frames consisting of a src tag that points to an html page.

Or, when setting up a drill-down in WebFOCUS, you specify a target frame in the style-sheet declaration.

You make a very good point. Let me clarify...
It does indeed pass the values, but the reports are gathering them. In fact, I've been trying all sorts of things this morning to get this to work and found more interesting information.

For example, when I set the .fex to "prompt for parameters" it shows a prompt for &CUST, though the URL for the page is
http://svr99wfrs/ibi_apps/WFSe...&CUST=38571&CLASSX=5

as you can see, &CUST is set to 38571 in the URL. If I take the .fex out of the HTML and drill down to it, it works just fine (Runs using &CUST=38571).

Sorry for being so confusing, I'll update the topic of this thread. Thanks.

I've never drilled-down to an HTML page before, so I'm not sure, but the URL doesn't look correct - I don't think one passes parameters to an HTML page in this manner. But then, this could be a 7.6 feature I am not familiar with - so sorry I can't be of any help.

You can pass parameters to a HTML page, but there is no mechanism for automatically making the parameters available to the page. You will have to use JS to read the href and manually break out the parameters and their associated values.
