Francis MarianiDev Studio: Matrix tab in Report Painter (FRL) - Any improvements in newer releases?
I can't really make heads or tails of the Matrix tab in Report Painter for Dev Studio 5.3.2. Has this been improved at all in newer releases?
I thought I'd head to Report Painter for an FRL problem I'm having but the Matrix tab is even more bewildering than the code I'm playing with.

GCohenWell its like this.. WebFocus has a terrific feature called..Financial Modeling Language (FML). So when it was 'Gui'ized' the way to call the GUI is to depress the MATRIX tab in Dev Studio. Assuming you have a file with each record identified (as happens in general ledgers etc). OK, you ask why call the tab 'Matrix'. Answer, the FML was always thought of as tags that described records that you wanted to put into your matrix. Oh well, maybe a better term is out there now.

Francis MarianiThanks for the explanation. I am hoping that this matrix tab has been improved and has finally become intuitive. In the 5.3.2 version, I couldn't figure out how to recalculate a recap for every third column. I had to do it using manual labour.
Cheers.
