Hi,
I recently I upgraded the version to 7.1 from 5.3 retaining the 5.3 version also.
I set up the environments and now when I try it to create a report,I am getting an error saying "Error parsing master file XXXXX".
how to handle this ?
any specific care that needs to be taken while upgrading?

I ran the thisfoc.bat to ensure the 7.1 components are registered.

looking for a early response.
Thanks in advance

Regards
Sandeep

Sandeep,

I would suggest that you contact your local IB Tech Support who should be able to assist you. they can even assist using a remote desktop session to enable them to check out your configuration.

For this environment which has WebFOCUS53 & WebFOCUS71 installed
1. Open Developer Studio
2. Right Click on the WebFOCUS Environment
and choose Properties
3. Click on the Web Component
4. Uncheck the "Use Default" option
5. Change the HTML Alias:/ibi_html to what it should be.
In this case, for WebFOCUS71, it required /ibi_html7

Hi Sandeep,
ibi_html7 was the virtual directory name I used for WebFOCUS7. You might have something different. Thats what you need to check.
Hope this helps.
