Hello, It will be helpful if anyone can suggest me how to set size value for burst reports? Is there any criteria needed for setting burst size for such reports? Is there any API available to do this ?
I think you're missing the point of bursting. There is no such thing as "burst size." As Frank explained, bursting means that the report is run and then separated by the primary sort value and each section is distributed to the destination associated in the address book with that sort value.
If that's not clear enough, you need to go back to the Report Caster manuals and read up on bursting.

Darin

To sum up: When you burst a report, WF uses the values of the first BY field. To each value must be associated an e-mail address.
The size of each file sent is a function of the number of its lines and pages.
If what you are saying is that when you burst your file according to the values of the BY field you are creating attachments which are too big then you have to try to limit the number of lines per BY value.
I hope this makes things a bit clearer.

Or you can create a BY field based upon the number of lines. If you make that field the first BY field you can send each x lines in a separate report and send that to different (or the same) receivers.
Suppose you want to let 10 people control 250 lines of data this would be an opportunity.
We all hope to here from you if this is what you need.
