Hi.. My question is out of pure curiosity. I have few reports(don't know if i can call them reports) to develop in Webfocus. Please tell me if it is possible.
Total Number of sales increased by 22% from xx to yy
Product1 sales decreased by aa% from xx to yy
Product2 sales increased by bb% from xx to yy
Product3 sales increased by cc% from xx to yy
Is it possible to generate a report like this. Coz while i was analyzing i noticed the first line has different BY field(no need to use product type as BY field) The lines after those has product type as BY field. I am not sure if my approach/thinking is correct.

Similar to answer I gave to your other post where you need detailed rows, percentage and total.
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM COMPUTE PCT/P6.2C% = (RETAIL_COST - DEALER_COST) / SALES * 100; NOPRINT
COMPUTE PCTX/A10V = FPRINT(PCT, 'P6.2C%', 'A10V'); NOPRINT
BY TOTAL COMPUTE ROWNO/I2 = 0;
BY TOTAL COMPUTE BYFLD/A50V = 'Total Var Of ' | PCTX | ' For Whole Countries';
ON TABLE HOLD AS CNTRYTOT
END
-RUN
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM COMPUTE PCT/P6.2C% = (RETAIL_COST - DEALER_COST) / SALES * 100; NOPRINT
COMPUTE PCTX/A10V = FPRINT(PCT, 'P6.2C%', 'A10V'); NOPRINT
BY CAR
BY TOTAL COMPUTE ROWNO/I2 = ROWNO + 1;
BY TOTAL COMPUTE BYFLD/A50V = ' Var Of ' | PCTX | ' For ' | CAR;
ON TABLE HOLD AS CARTOT
END
-RUN
TABLE FILE CARTOT
BY ROWNO NOPRINT
BY BYFLD AS ''
MORE
FILE CNTRYTOT
END
