The below piece of code is not correct as field format is not allowed in -SET. 

-READ CUTOFF &DATEFROM.A8.

-SET &NEWDATE/YYMD = &DATEFROM + 7;
-RUN

-WRITE CUTOFF &NEWDATE
-RUN


The value of CUTOFF is 20090530. Is there a way to perform a similar calculation.

Shri,

Dialogue Manager variables are strings by definition and don't have an inherent format. Use the function AYMD (Using Functions manual or search Forum on AYMD) to add 7 to your date. Use the format I8YYMD in the subroutine.
