Last week, I uploaded a .xls file to Data Servers with no issues and was able to use the file for reporting with no problems.

This week, the structure and data has changed substantially and I did the upload again with a new filename and it says the file was created successfully. But when I go the approot subdirectory (baseapp) to see the created Master, Access File and text file - they are not there. There are no error messages written out to edaprint. On the surface, it would appear that all went well. I have used this tool for years without any issues.

Has anyone else ever experienced this issue with the Upload tool or can think of where else to look to investigate this issue. I did search some initial searches here and through Tech Support and did not find anything related to issues with this tool. Smiler

Thank you.

I have had issues with the Upload tool and found they had something to do with the version of Java. I updated the Java on my PC when the update notification pop-up appeared and seems to be a no-no. An updated version of Java with an older version of DevStudio is not compatible.

Found the created files on another server on a completely different platform. No idea why that starting happening today. I will do some investigating and update at a later date if I find out how this happened.

FYI.

The File Upload Tool is a java program that reads excel files. This is why there have been java version issues.

As for you upload going to another server, the upload transfers the file to the server before converting it. I can only guess that perhaps you have an issue with the WebFOCUs client and the WebFOCUS servers defined to it.
