I am trying below piece of code to place border around subfoot in my report.

In the report,I want to have border in subfoot around the Text 'TOTAL' and the value '305.0'.But the reports is not coming this way.Can you please check the code and tell me where it is misbehaving.

There is no "misbehaviour". Intra borders are just not supported in either SUBHEAD or SUBFOOT via Style sheets.

You *may* get them working in HTML by using external CSS classes (with border statements in them of course) but that may not be transferable to other output formats such as PDF.

If you really, really need them to be like that and be applicable to all supported formats you will then have to "calculate" your totals as extra records added to your original data and, when reporting, apply conditional formatting to them.

As those are now actual records any regular TYPE=DATA style definition can be used.

Tom, for a moment there you got me all excited as I thought I had missed this new feature in a more recent release since my upgrade from 5.3 a few months ago.

Sadly, the limitation still seems to exist:

WF can indeed "paint" borders surrounding SUBHEAD / SUBFOOT but intra-borders within each individual cell are still not supported ... or am I missing something?

The request was to surround the SUBFOOT with a border. Yours works, mine works, maybe I am not understanding the question?

Never mind, I see. Need to further test as I know I've done this before...

I see what you mean. The request is rather contradictory.

Based on the last statement and the attempts Shankar made in the code to style the SUBFOOT, I was perhaps too quick to assume (s)he needed borders around each individual cell, including the separating ones.

Anyway, hopefully Shankar will try out the different ideas provided and/or clarify what's needed.
