WebFOCUS 8.0: Managed Reporting Migration

WebFOCUS 8.0 is a feature-rich product with a whole new engine under the hood. One of the first questions that may come to mind is, "How do I get my data into the new version?" The product includes all the tools required to migrate any WebFOCUS version 7.1 or higher to WebFOCUS 8.0. Any customers using a version prior to WebFOCUS 7.1 should first migrate to 7.1 or a higher version, and then use the tools provided to migrate into WebFOCUS 8.0.

Migration tools are available for Managed Reporting, Business Intelligence Dashboard and ReportCaster, but for the purpose of this article, we will focus on Managed Reporting. Future articles will address those other areas.
