All,

We are on the way of materializing an RFP for one of the new project using WebFOCUS. We just want to get aware of day today's best possible hardware/platform configuration that WebFOCUS goes in hand with.

Here is our expectation on the proj...
300+ simultaneous users to the BI platform.
1.2 Million of records everyday. (from ETL end which will be used for BI)

What servers(e.g. Say Sun Solaris), What Processors, Which platform we could suggest the Clients for installing WebFOCUS to start from the scratch for the above expectations?

Your friendly IBI rep would probably help you there.

Also,

300+ simultaneous users, is that concurrent ?

You may have to do distributed processing, spread the connections across multiple servers.

What is being done ? is it simple stuff or involved ? How long do you expect the connections to take ?

All this is very important in determining a platform and suggestion congif.
