I have recently come to know that my prod portal is somehow showing all the folders to "Basic Users" even if the folder itself is hidden. I am thinking that a special privilege has been set for The Basic User role. How do I find and fix this?
I am on 8.1.0.5 on Windows.

There are no security permissions for any role including DomainBasicUser to override showing a hidden folder. In the security center there is a tab called Roles where you can edit the DomainBasicUser role and see all the permissions. Setting a folder to be hidden is independent of the security and is done by right mouse clicking on the folder and choosing show or hide. Double check that the folder is truly marked as hidden. If it is then I suggest opening a case as it is not behaving properly. I tested it on my 8.1.05M gen 325 system and it works there.

Hi Chuck,
Thank you for your response. I have learnt a new thing that the hidden folder is independent of the security.

That is an older gen of 8.1.05M not sure if you can upgrade but it may be worth a try. The upgrade does not change any configuration items it just updates the binaries.
Thank you for using Focal Point!
