Application and Domain Folder Creation and Modification Dates
In the Microsoft world it is possible to see a folder's creation and modification date in Windows Explorer. In WebFocus we can see dates of focexecs, htmls, MFDs, etc. after opening a folder. However, the creation and modification dates of domain and application folders do not appear.

1.) Guide me here if you are able to see the creation and modification dates of the folders, either in DevStudio or in the MRE. We are currently at 7.1.6 so the folder dates might be a 7.6 product.

2.) Would application and domain folders be a worthwhile new product feature?

3.) For Kerry, Kathleen and other IB staff viewing Focal Point

a. Have folder dates already been suggested as a new product feature?

b. Similarly – is there any difference between a New Product Request (NPR) and a New Feature Request (NFR) or are these terms used interchangeably?

Thanks in advance for everybody's answers.

Hi Sandy,

Here are inputs from our internal people:

The modified dates for project/application folders will show up if you are in the Projects area in DevStudio. However, they do not show up if you are viewing the folders from the Data Servers area. There hasn’t been any New Feature Request put in for this yet. If preferred, please open a case with Information Builders' Customer Support Services and submit a New Feature Request. You may either call at 1-800-736-6130, or access the online system InfoResponse at http://techsupport.ibi.com. Here is a list of information to be ready when you call: http://techsupport.ibi.com/before_you_call.jsp.

As for terms, we use New Feature Request (NFR), not New Product Request (NPR).

Hope this helps. Big Grin

Cheers,

Kerry
