I've run into a fresh and new problem! I was debugging some strangeness in an existing report and found out that it was caused by the calendar control - the one from Development Studio.
Our calendar control gets initialised with a !IBI.AMP.FROMDATE value formatted according to 'DD/MM/YYYY'. If the report is submitted like that, the report-fex properly receives a value according to that format. Same if the user changes the date by typing in the form field. However, if the calendar control (that javascript popup thing) gets used, the date format of the posted value changes to 'DDMMYYYY'! It is perfectly capable of interpreting the value it receives though, even if you change it by typing into the input field (of course while making sure to keep the format according to 'DD/MM/YYYY').
I've looked at the properties one can set on those controls, and the only thing related to date formats is the 'Date format in data source' field, which is set to "15/01/2010 (DMYY)" - which seems correct but is probably unrelated to our problem anyway.
