Our requirement is that we have to load a dll and call functions in that dll on the fly from the report. i.e. for e.g. we have three links on the report and when i click on each link a new function from the dll is to be called.
Is the above scenario possible to code in Developer Studio.
Please do not confuse things. Executing something from within the TABLE command is something different entirely from executing something from within the browser. Since you're mentioning 'links fromthe report', it hasn't got anything to do with DevStudio anymore, but it has now become an issue of 'can we link to this dll from within the browser'? And that is something to be answered by someone who knows the ins and outs of a browser. If you can figure out how to access that dll with the desired function from within IE or Firefox, then coding it in DevStudio as a hyperlink shouldn't be too difficult, I guess.

As a general rule the answer is you can not do it automatically.
Browser security is such that it will not / should not allow processes to run client side without the explicit permission of the person using the machine and the operating system.
Thanks for the reply. But i am not confusing things, i suppose. Firstly, the dll will not be at the client machine, so calling dll the methonds from the browser locally will not be applicable. Secondly, our dll will be on the server machine, so in order to access the functions in the dll, the brwoser will make the servlet call and this servlet in turn will call the dll. We will be making our application composed of reports using DevStudio, so we want to know that is there a way to access the dll in DevStudio? I suppose the requirement is lucid. If i am misundestanding something about WF products' capabilities, please let me know.
