I have embedded SQL in a fex. It is MS SQL Server. When I run the EXACT SQl is a TOAD editor agains the database I get different results than when running it from within FOCUS.
Oddly if I make my connect string UPPERCASE I get the same results as under TOAD.
Had anyone seen this, and know the root cause? I'm concerned that this is just a fluke as we have dozens of FOCUS scripts that run embedded code. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Kerry,
The only thing I can suggest is, sometimes, it looks like the SQL is sent directly to the SQL engine (passthru), but instead, WebFOCUS is using the metadata. I would verify the SQL ENGINE connection and also turn SQL traces on - it might shine a light on what's going on. Why post some of your code, including the connection string?
