I have set up a successful connection and synonym to read an Excel spreadsheet as a data source. If I change a value of a cell in a column that is alpha format in the master, and put a number in the cell, this value does not show on my WebFocus report, though the rest of the column still does. Putting an apostrophe in front of the value does work, allowing the number to be treated as alpha, but the reason I'm trying to read Excel is to get at certain pieces of information without having to make physical changes to where it's coming from. Any thoughts?
