I need help on following:


TABLE FILE CORORG
PRINT NAME
WHERE CORCUSTOMERKY EQ 2001
IF RECORDLIMIT EQ 1
ON TABLE SAVE
END
-RUN
-READ SAVE &CORORG.A64.
-TYPE &CORORG


When the table returns zero rows I get the following error
-READ SAVE &CORORG.A64.
(FOC295) A VALUE IS MISSING FOR: CORORG

Please do not tell me to check &lines and then default the variables.

Only set a default value.
-DEFAULT &CORORG = 0 ;<br />-READ SAVE &CORORG.A64.<br />-TYPE &CORORG
Or validate if -READ has been successful using &IORETURN.
-READ SAVE &CORORG.A64.<br />-IF &IORETURN NE 0 ...

The -READ will still fail but you won't see the error. I would bypass the -READ all together.

TABLE FILE CORORG
PRINT NAME
WHERE CORCUSTOMERKY EQ 2001
IF RECORDLIMIT EQ 1
ON TABLE SAVEEND
-RUN
-IF &RECORDS EQ 0 THEN GOTO NOREAD;
-READ SAVE &CORORG.A64.-TYPE &CORORG
-NOREAD
