We have developers that are only allowed to view some of the data in certain tables. We have created an mfd to invoke this security as outlined in chapter 10 of the Describing Data book. Now my question is, how do we protect the security mfd from the developers? I researched this and only found documentation on encrypting/decrypting fusion files. Is there a way to encrypt/decrypt or password protect an mfd on LINUX with an Oracle database?

You can use ENCRYPT and DECRYPT on any MFD files.
