I'm a domain administrator with data server access, and I occasionally move fexes, html, etc. from windows folder locations to our unix webfocus data server. I do this via drag and drop in DevStudio.
Now that we're on version 7.1.4, I'm excited about using the excel template functionality, but find that I don't seem to have access to drag and drop .mht files to the same data server location. Our highest level administrators can move them for me as a workaround, but there are only 3 of them and they are very busy. Since several iterations are often required before a template is ready for public consumption, this approach doesn't seem appealing for the long term.
Can anyone confirm that WebFocus enforces this security and if so, why would .mht files be blocked? Is there an easy way to open up that access, or is the issue addressed in a future release?

I take it that you are refering to drag and drop within Dev Studio? If so then .mht files are not the only ones that you cannot drag and drop, .jpg files also fall into this category. I believe that there have been restrictions placed within the Dev Studio code that only permit certain file extensions from being dragged, and these are generally the basic filetypes of .acx, .mas, .fex, .ftm, .foc(I think but am not sure if they go properly), .gif and a few others.
In previous versions .gif files could be dragged but did not copy successfully so it was advisable not to copy them in this manner.
I think your only solution is to await your high level admins.
