We have for a large number of years used external Authentication (LDAP or AD) for our database servers. Our WebFOCUS installation was set up to explicitly authenticate users in MRE and we set up a generic ID to run WebFOCUS Self Service Applications.
I'm now tasked with trying to figure a new way to authenticate users on Self Service Applications and was wondering if anyone has any hints/tricks to use in doing so. Is there some way to authenticate a user with AD prior to them running a self service application in WebFOCUS?
