WebFOCUS Developer Studio Installation and Configuration 7.6.10 -> Installing Developer Studio (Chapter 2) -> Software Requirements (Page 24 in PDF version)
quote:
Your Windows machine must meet the following Developer Workbench software requirements: Windows XP® Professional, Windows Vista® Business and Ultimate editions, 2000, or Windows 2000® and 2003 Professional and Server editions. Windows 2000 must have Service Pack 2 or higher.
There is no explicit mention of Windows 7 which does not necessarily mean that it won't work. It probably just means that this particular version of Dev.Studio has not been certified as yet by IBI to be fully operating on that OS version and therefore there could be some limitations on any technical support you may need.
It seems impossible to search for "windows 7" on the Information Builders site. The "7" seems to be considered as WebFOCUS 7. I would hope that one of the newer versions, v7.6.9 for example, would be certified to work with Windows 7, after all, the public beta was released in January 2009 and the release candidate was released in May 2009.This message has been edited.
