I'm trying to put two fex files into one so that the output of both the fex files just appears at the top and bottom of each other. I have a common sql for both the fex files and then separate sql out for both the files in one common fex file. The problem is when I'm running the fex file, it is messing up the formatting of the two fex file included in the common fex file. Second file has header and the first has the title with background color settings. But the second fex file is taking the formatting of the first fex file in the header section.Can anybody please help me?
Thank you in advance, MehakThis message has been edited. Last edited by: MeM,
You are probably using SET HTMLCSS=ON. This generates a CSS stylesheet. The styling for each report will interfere with each other because the same CSS class is generated.
Solution: hold the two reports in HTMTABLE format, then use HTMLFORM to display the reports. With this method, different CSS classes are generated in each report.
Example:
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SALES
BY COUNTRY
HEADING
"WEBFOCUS REPORT 1"
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, SQUEEZE=ON, FONT='ARIAL',
SIZE=9, BORDER=1, BORDER-COLOR=SILVER,
$
TYPE=HEADING, COLOR=BLUE, $
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE HOLD AS HOLDREPORT1 FORMAT HTMTABLE
END
-RUN
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
SALES
BY SEATS
HEADING
"WEBFOCUS REPORT 2"
ON TABLE SET PAGE NOLEAD
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, SQUEEZE=ON, FONT='ARIAL',
SIZE=9, BORDER=1, BORDER-COLOR=SILVER,
$
TYPE=HEADING, COLOR=GREEN, $
ENDSTYLE
ON TABLE HOLD AS HOLDREPORT2 FORMAT HTMTABLE
END
-RUN
-HTMLFORM BEGIN
!IBI.FIL.HOLDREPORT1;
!IBI.FIL.HOLDREPORT2;
-HTMLFORM END
