Just need a confirmation I am trying to display on a report the connected user ie the person who is logged into the dashboard that is running the report. I believe from my forum reading that the one i want is GETUSER('A30') or GETUSER(USERID) but it only return what i'm looking for if your running in OPSYS mode. Currently the server is running in security mode OFF and all GETUSER shows is "SYSTEM" and CNCTUSR shows blank.

With security OFF the only value you'll get is SYSTEM. You'll have to select some other security option for the server to be able to get the logged on userid.

Thanks for the quick reply. I figured as much. I'll have to get with our system admin to get the security switched to something else.
