Currently WebFOCUS field titles appear only at the top of the page, beneath the heading. Unfortunately a lot of documents prefer that the titles repeat after a subheading and this, while not impossible, is tedious to do in WebFOCUS and often involves a lot of trial and error.
This perennial problem is always solved by embedding the titles as a SUBHEAD. Anyone who is anyone in the WebFOCUS world will have encountered this problem. (Other techniques anyone?)
What I would suggest is a new syntax which is self explanatory.
HEADING [NOTITLE]
ON field SUBHEAD [RETITLE]
Now this seems so obvious that I would be surprised if other great minds had not thought of it. So...
1. Is the list of NFRs (New feature requests) available and is this on it? 2. Is there a link to request a NFR? 3. If it's not on there, has anyone else encountered this problem and would they think it's a good NFR?

To raise an NFR you just raise a normal case with IB on the Tech Support site and prefix the descriptive text with "NFR:" and then add your description.
I can't recall seeing a list of NFRs but that doesn't mean one doesn't exist. Personally I can't imagine Gerry would allow that list to be in the end user domain either - just my thought.
As for the idea, Yes, I do think that it would enhance the product thus making the repetative title problem a thing of the past. Go for it!!

I have had conversations with folks at IBI a couple of years ago about this NFR but never saw anything come of it. I beleive I also had a case open regarding this but I cannot seem to find it.
My request was really two things.
1) Force TITLEs to be written for each sort field value. This is the same as your request [RETITLE].
ON COUNTRY RETITLE
2) Force TITLEs to appear below SUBHEAD text. This would be great to have this option as well. Antoher way to do this would be to add a keyword for SUBHEAD controll to force the SUBHEAD text to appear above the TITLEs.
ON COUNTRY SUBHEAD ABOVE-TITLES "This is the SUBHEAD text"
I will go ahead and open a new NFR request case with IBI. If you open one as well and then Francis, Susannah, Tony, PRarie, Frank, etc and everyone else opens one we might get this on the list.
Thanks!
Mickey
