Hi, I had generated a HTML page with some dropdowns, and based on selection i had populated some fex and made drilldown on them. I published this HTML file in MRE. I had developed the entire reports (10 fex files and one html file) in developer studio. I didnt use MRE FOREXECS or reporting objects. It worked fine in development, but in production i got browser timeout error. So, now i need to set Run As Deffered option. But it seems it wont work if the report is not developed in MRE.
So, i need to know how to activate the Run as deferred for my reports, so that it will overcome the timeout error.
Any suggestions or eixsting forum discussions?
Regards

Run deferred is meant to be run only from MRE. However, I have discover that you can run deferred from the server. There fore it can be duplicated.
Open up the server console and select procedures. Select a procedure and then select run advanced, picking run deferred. You could then view the source and duplicate what is happening there.
in the MRE when you have developed the application you can right click on the fex. You see some options , on is to set the fex for running as deferred only. This might help.

Hi, I got a kind of solution.I kept all the fex developed in dev studio in Standard reports folder with HTML file which has the dashboard.I made the fex settings as Run as Deffered. Now when i select the options from HTML page, then it says
report1
has been successfully submitted for deferred execution.
. Now where i can see the report output. Will it go to library? But i didnt find anything in library.I am not able points from help menu. Let me know how it works.

Frank, There is a correction from my end. I dont have MRE dashboard with me. I created a HTML page which has the selections, based on that the fex are executed.
Still can i see the deferred report output?
