[CLOSED] How to make the ‘special ’sql report work?
We would like the ability to see all the table names, column names, columns’ data types and sizes from one of our databases.

The sql has been finished. But we got an empty output from this ‘special’ sql report when use the same connection string as we have finished a lot of sql reports against this database’s data.

I am wondering for the ‘special’ sql whether there is another connection string that should be used and what is it? We need your help. Does anyone have an example that will be a big help?

Thanks

Your question is awfully limited on the kind of details that we would need to answer it.

That you are getting an 'empty output' (which I assume means you are getting a message about 0 LINES being returned) can have all kinds of causes.

My guess is that you don't have the correct permissions to query the database's catalog tables and it's returning the rows that you are allowed to see (none). In that case, connect using a user that is allowed to query the catalogue tables.

But other possible causes include errors in your SQL, errors in your FOCUS code, etc.

We are going to need more details if that's not it, such as the code you ran, the output it generated, the make or brand of database you are connecting to, etc.
