Hi,
I created a webFocus report which need to be shown in PDA.
I have to make the column narrow. Because the PDA’s screen is small.

What I did is:

Right click column -> options-> style -> choose “width” as “truncate” or “wrap”

The format of the field “progress description” is “A16384V”.
I tried to define a new field whose format is “A16384” and show it on the report instead of “progress description”

When run the procedure, the column width of some incident (for example, the ID is 1000) is narrow. But the width of some incident (for example, the ID is 2000) is wide.

I need the width as 1000. I don’t know why 2000 is wide.
They should show in the same way.

Hope someone could give me some help!

define a new field like

NEWFIELD/A100=SUBSTR((inlength, parent, start, end, sublength, outfield);
