Anyone with SungardSCT Plus200 DB2 here? Or anyone who has experienced similar.
We have a control table in our DB2 data base that has a 176 character alpha field that actually contains packed decimal and alpha fields. Vendor solution to Y2K. Our problem is we need to extract the packed fields and convet them to dates, they are the date in the field. In the old mainframe focus days I'd just use a combination of SUBSTR, UFMT and EDIT to get what I needed. However, WebFOCUS pulls the data as alpha only and it converts it to ASCII in the process, so when I try to use the old routines, complete garbage data is the result. Has anyone faced this issue. Also, if I were to 'redefine in the master' with defines would that help.
Currently I use spufi and easytrieve to get the data and create a text file to use on the server.
