There is a document dated 10-DEC-2003 that explains how to set up WebFocus for use with SSL. Document # DN4500548.1203 My question is are there any differences when setting up SSL for WebFocus 7.7.01? We would like to configure WebFocus to run using SSO (single sign on) but will need to get it running with HTTPS first. Please advise. Thank you. Paul
Thanks all for more documents to read. I really did not even know where to start. PaulThis message has been edited. Last edited by: paulI,

Did you already read the WebFocus security and administration manual? There is a version for 7.7.01 available from the information builders publication website. It is always a good starting point to read up on the doc that belongs to the release at hand.

SSL is a higher level than the WebFOCUS web application. It is implemented on whatever is functioning as your "web server", and as result it is completely independent of the release of WebFOCUS you're using.
As a result whether the directions still apply or not depends more on your web server than it does on WebFOCUS release.
I haven't pulled up the Doc, but if it describes configuring SSL on Tomcat stand alone, I don't think there have been any changes with Tomcat as far as SSL is concerned in quite some time. As a result they should still apply.
If the directions are for setting up SSL on IIS, depending on what release of IIS the steps you go through to launch the certificate dialogue has likely changed between releases of IIS.
