I went to the documentation site and can't seem to find the following documentation for Webfocus And ReportCaster Installation and Configuration for Windows. The only version available is 7.1.3. Is there a documentation for 7.1.1??

BH, typically the instructions are exactly the same for a .n service pack for a major release level. 7.1.1 per se isn't even available anymore, so you might just want to jump right to 716 across the board .. there's no reason not to. The upgrade is a breeze.

There are gotchas in between 7.1.1 and 7.1.3!!! No one necessarily tells you about them until you blow up.
We hit 3 of them! (Architecture changes!)
1. JDE Adapter re-architecting to long field names- we couldn't use it for on our JDE subserver without re-writing all reports referencing JDE. So we stayed on 7.11 for that subserver.
2. RA bug with joining hold files to Oracle files- no work around except re-writing the reports or turning off RA. So we turned off RA.
3. Change in joining to Oracle ON varchar fields (different than the change that HOLDS varchar fields -that happened between 5 and 7). Need the "magic" command to force the earlier behaviour, placed in all affected fexes: SQL SQLORA SET ORACHAR VAR
All of these were very painful, since they slipped by our intial testing in 7.11, when we were in our "go-live" path with 7.1.3.
No WF upgrade is a breeze! Especially with a large body of reports already written.
Well you probably don't want to hear this now...but you could have changed the Varchar thing on the server instead of each fex. ENGINE SQLORA SET VARCHAR OFF
