Hello all.

Wanted to ask if someone would know how to retrieve the last 2 records in a sort.

I am sorting by ITEMNUM. Say my sort results to x number of records per ITEMNUM, I would like to retrieve only the last 2 records.

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Don't even really need a computed field. BY HIGHEST 2 ITEMNUM will do the trick.

BY HIGHEST 2 ITEMNUM will retrieve 2 ITEMNUMs whereas Akilayko wanted to see 2 records per ITEMNUM, or at least that is what I understood.

Re-reading the original, I can see the confusion - it was a little ambiguous. And since "both solutions worked", I wonder what the real question was because Danny's solution would provide a different result than mine, his giving more detail, as he mentions.

Well, if there are 2 different solutions and both are termed to have "worked", then there must be a third one...
